When Goodness Becomes Powerful...

Toxic Shame Swallows the Left....

~written from the common sense perspective of The Winds of the Soul~

by Dr. Gregory C.D. Young, Ph.D.(Oxon.)

to the book

Learning and loving to embrace Goodness, and then to enact that Goodness within our own lives while shunning evil, is the Hallmark characteristic the Lord is looking for within our countenance and ongoing footsteps.  For Goodness rightly and intelligently embraced throughout life leaves its peculiar mark deeply and spiritually engraved upon the follower.

My last few newsletters have been directed at an attempt to understand why "Goodness" has somehow been left behind on the sidelines of many people's Judeo-Christian faiths, forgotten as to its central place in knowing the reason why we should even consider to worship the Lord of the Universe in the first place, and the irrevocable harm that occurs when such "memory loss" is allowed to remain unchallenged.

The reason we should worship Him and follow His directions, of course, is that He is the Perfect Pattern of Goodness, without which and through which we would never come to understand why Good is Good, and why evil is evil.

After all, that's one of the main reasons for us being here, to learn the differences between the two.  Once that grand understanding has been accomplished through the trials of this life and the restoration of the children we used to be----which allows us to become again a little child who believes in Him----we are then prepared to move on into the realms of our Father's Mansions, where Jesus Christ Lives.

Learning and loving to embrace Goodness, and then to enact that Goodness within our own lives while shunning evil, is the Hallmark characteristic the Lord is looking for within our countenance and ongoing footsteps.  For Goodness, rightly and intelligently embraced throughout life, leaves its peculiar mark deeply and spiritually engraved  upon the follower.  Embracing Goodness is what it literally means to take upon us His Name----these two are indivisible events.  This will be the telltale sign of whether or not we really do believe in Christ.

But apart from the all-important consequences of any future judgment, why Goodness is so very important to the Father and Jesus Christ, and why they so desire for us to embrace it as well, is something that most of us have carelessly forgotten. Most simply, God wants us to be the happiest possible, even to share in His Own Happiness.

As I previously wrote in The Winds of Forgiveness, pgs 571-572:

"In the end, I believe that how well we do here, or how we will be judged and forgiven by Heaven is directly and intimately related to the degree and to the extent that we’ve allowed His Name to have place within us. Specifically, Heaven’s Judgment and Forgiveness has everything to do with how much we have allowed His Name, even the sacred Seed-Pattern, to become a living part of us.  In other words, the Lord purely wishes to measure how much we have sincerely restored the children we used to be to their rightful place and to what proportion we have since allowed His Pattern to awaken and remake us after His Divine Image, becoming inseparably connected with our own identity—so that He may be in us, and we within Him and the Father.  Most simply, Heaven looks to see if the Seed has taken root and given fruit within us. Indeed, this is the most important measure of Heaven to be performed upon us, the most important judgment that it will ever make upon our lives;  all other concerns becoming subordinated....."

You see, "Happiness" is yet another attribute of God that most of us have let slip from our minds.  Namely, He is the Happiest being there is.....there is no one any happier or one who experiences more joy than He.

And most importantly, He understands that being Good is the central reason for His Eternal Happiness.  And because we are made in His Image, that same causal connection applies to us as well.

Thus, by being "Good," by directing all our affections towards Goodness, and following all the ways of Goodness that He Commands in consequence, because of the ruminating powers contained within the Seed of His Goodness He has placed within us which is enabled by having faith in His Name, will in the course of events make us Happy too, even as Happy and Joyful as He, even receive the fullness of Joy of the Father and the Son.

Accordingly, knowing that the way to Happiness can only be found in embracing His Goodness, and wanting us to be as Happy as He is, He then commands the same prescription for us all-----which is meaning to say: believe on and in Jesus Christ----who is the role model and the only perfect revelation of our Father and His Goodness given to us----and then knowing of that Goodness, become persuaded to repent of our sins, and follow Him.

Page 2

Thus, we learn something that is exceptionally important for us to remember in this world, something critically important for us to keep in the front of our minds and hearts so as to be directed by same. Specifically, Goodness is the root of all legitimate Happiness and Joy.  Not Fame.  Not Fortune.  Not Success of any kind. Goodness, and Goodness alone, makes Happiness possible.  So, learning to embrace such Goodness and finally choosing God's Goodness to be first in our lives is the only way our Happiness and Joy will ever be full and everlasting.

For those that can understand, this is the deeper meaning behind the importance of the first Commandment, as is fully elucidated within my first book The Winds of the Soul.  Most simply, in commanding us to worship Him with all our heart, mind, and strength, He is literally commanding us, first and foremost, to "Be Happy as He is Happy," by being as perfectly Good as He and His Son are, by embracing and keeping to His Pattern of Goodness within us enabled by His Grace.

Now I ask you, isn't that the base intention of any parent?  Namely, that the Happiness and welfare of our Children continually direct our actions?  Isn't that what we want for them above all else?  To be happy, joyfully happy?  Of course it is.  And we are simply mirroring what our Father wants for us all, having first placed those same desires within our own hearts.  After all, if this is something "Good" that we can feel as parents, don't you think that His Desires for all His children are so much more grand and pure in this regard?  Of course they are!

Without Goodness being central to our faith, we can never be as Happy as God is, nor as Happy as He wants us to be.  Without Goodness, the fullness of Happiness promised us is an impossibility.

"Goodness" as defined by the Creator, is central to Life, to Peace, to Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness, even though it seems that every institution (political or religious) that was first set to protect this reality has long since obscured this message, diluted its importance, and subsequently become misdirected in its original calling.

Even Love, and Devine Charity itself, must bow to the Principle of Goodness.  Without Goodness at its roots, love becomes twisted to lust, generosity to greed, wisdom to arrogance.

So it is from the tenets of Goodness, that all things of His Design are made possible, even faith, hope and charity, reason and understanding, mercy and justice, kindness, patience, and longsuffering.  Goodness is the straight and sound keel that keeps all other things on course.  It is the Father's root intention for His Creation...., and as such, it is the primary target of Satan and his beguiled followers.

Page 3

These balk at the connection between Goodness and Happiness, and likewise like to "fudge" between the differences of Good and evil.  They would lead us away from the clear connections between Goodness and Happiness, believing instead that each of us have our personally defined worlds, fallaciously reasoning that Goodness itself must be relative since its consequence, i.e., Happiness, for one is not necessarily so for another.  In other words, if Happiness is "relative" than so must be its predecessor of Goodness, or so they would have us believe.

Without a clear direction as to the understanding of our Father's Goodness, the vacuum that then ensues is quickly filled with counterfeits, most notably those that spring from a mindset that demands that God is not Omniscient----rather Man himself may adequately direct his own affairs quite well and FIND HAPPINESS without the interference of a God-scripted theology.

Those that prescribe to such thinking today are categorized as "enlightened," even though they have long since turned off the Light of Christ within them.

But as a wise man long ago wrote:  One's "wickedness" was never at any time someone else's "Happiness."  These are not realities found upon one construct, one line in which you can evolve or graduate to one end or the other.  Wickedness and Happiness are separate and different entities forged by either denying or embracing Goodness itself, respectively.

Thus, Goodness is not a relative concept.  Indeed, it is the foundation of God's Throne, and is therefore quite  unchangeable and everlasting.

Quite baffling to Liberal Secularists is the notion that the diversity of Life could not possibly stem from the "relativism" of the random, but rather only unfold from the fountain of a single "Word."

Point aside...., for the Liberal, "Good" actually means "rigid," and "rigid" is synonymous with "closed" and inescapably "barren"----incapable of bringing forth Life in such evident diversity.  Thus, "Goodness" is far too narrow of a thing as far as they are concerned, abandoning the deeper possibilities that remain beyond their limited understanding.

That Secularists now have to contend with the now popular scientific concept of "Intelligent Design" stemming from a quantum singularity as the only plausible theory of Life and what we see around us, has made them to scramble back to their drawing boards to hatch even more ludicrous theories of how we all came to be.

The fact that the Creation flowing from God's Unchanging and Eternal Good Hands can yield an infinitely varied, multifaceted, and profoundly diverse as it could possibly be, and that which expressly allows there to be many Mansions in His Father's House----the symphony being based on His unchanging Goodness, rather than "relativism"----angrily raises the hair on the Liberal's back.

They refuse to believe that all those said Mansions can only exist under the protection and benevolence of His Law and Order, under a Realm of Rule which is neither "relative" or "changeable."  They mock the whole idea that from a single, enduring, and unchangeable concept of Goodness is born an infinite array of possibilities.

That each of these infinite possibilities rests solely within and upon the Eternal, Non-relative, Nature of its Parent's understanding of Harmonious Goodness is maddening to unbelievers, and again, quite baffling to Liberal Secularists, for they cannot see how a universe filled with infinite possibilities could come from just one, yet unchanging, Source.  "Impossible," they claim, "true and real diversity can only come from relative randomness!"  How very wrong they are....

Page 4

The truth is, Liberal Secularists would like us to believe that things in reality are not quite so defined so as to allow some wiggle room for their own convoluted pleasures and unholy philosophies.  Like spoiled brattish children shamefully caught in the act of some schadenfreude, they protest that clear-cut, clean and brilliant definitions of Goodness are unnecessarily harsh and rigid in their judgments against them in particular, for it allows no space for their self-promotions, lusts, avarice and greed----nor the beguiling slight of hand, may I add, to represent them as paths to Wisdom and Happiness.

Still, Liberals would like us to believe that their "enlightened" perceptions are more accurate of this world than are our own, more advanced than our own and indeed God's..., that "relativism" and "randomness" is the true source of this Universe, and thus, the things of Eternal Order can be changed without dire consequence.

What the Liberal Secularists really mean is that God's Definition of Goodness can be thrown out the window and treated as fiction.  It is no longer needed to provide direction to anything in life---- whether in influencing morality and family life, business and art, our educational system, the judiciary, or any aspect of life by which we may become impacted.

In essence, they would have us believe that "Goodness" is evolving with everyone's world view----that its meaning is not enduring, but changes with time and social circumstance.

A world governed without the civilizing permanence of God's Values (and by those I mean Judeo-Christian values) is what they seek, an anarchy which nurtures their self-promotions and disfigures Goodness to be a social leprosy.

Thus, attacking Goodly permanence in anything that refutes their self-absorbed fictions, and boorishly refuting anybody that disagrees, they justify their assault upon individuals, institutions, and values which make them feel in the least uncomfortable.

And there are considerable data to back this assertion up.  As has been well documented within the Lexus-Nexus data base and statistical analysis of Elite Liberal Political profusion of rhetoric in the print and broadcast Media, the Liberal's propensity to falsely accuse, churlishly belittle and guilishly berate is vastly greater and more ominous than their opponents.

And of all that the Liberals accuse, besides it generally be unfounded and unrepeated outside their own echoed hearsay, their rhetoric is always more acrimonious and consistently more demonizing than whatever and however their political counterparts may answer.

Page 5

And in cadence with their rebellion, they kick against the pricks of their own God-given (yet denied) conscience, which calls out its warning to them, that they have transgressed the order and law of God.  So darkened of spirit, many of God's children have unwittingly and stupidly changed "sides," and are now foolishly and blindly following the paths of the 'father of lies,' calling "Good" evil and evil "Good."

According to the numbers to date, more often than not, the vitriolic slander waged against Conservatives is almost 20 times greater in quantity and substance than is launched against the Liberal Mindset.  That's a lot of deafening propaganda and "protesting too much" that goes unanswered.

No matter the subject being examined, Liberal Secularists are now more openly refuting the possible inherent Goodness of any position than ever before.  Their combined assault and alleged antinomies against Goodness are becoming increasingly more obvious, although they appear all the less aware.

Be it marriage, the family, God and religion, education and the judiciary, their adverse influence of parsing out any manner or suggestion of Goodness from the fabric in which it was first woven, is having a negative toll against western culture.

In such recent fits of self-involved outbursts, some have preposterously claimed in this country that the Constitution itself is really an evolving document. They see it as a relative set of rules and laws----set of open-ended principles which are continually changing and becoming flexibly reconfigured when needed----being open to reinterpretation with each passing secular trend, whether of this nation or that of another.  Again, they seek to diminish the enduring standards of Goodness from amongst us.

What they are really saying is that their interpretations are what would have been written and set forth had only they been the Founding Fathers themselves.  Such uncontrolled vanity and unmitigated self-presumption is becoming more apparent in all their actions.

And in Europe, too, similar arrogant dismissive ideology is underway as well.  The authors of the new E.U. Constitution purposively elected to omit even the word of "God" from their governing document, giving the Liberal Secularists full power in defining what is and what is not appropriate, under the guise of ensuring the separation of Church and State.  Yet, for all practical purposes, what all Liberal Secularists really want, is the separation of God from the Individual, giving them unparalleled reign and sway over every culture and person.

Thus, Secular Humanism and Liberalism, whether in politics or religion, is ever usurping the common sense of Goodness from anyone old enough to talk.  Their deafening influences continually cry against anything that persuades us to do Good, or to believe in Goodness as an unchangeable concept originating from God the Father.

Having said that, and I know this may seem a little alarmist if not divisive, but the Left today is not being championed by the Lord, but by His enemy, despite their protests to the contrary.  To what other conclusions can we come?

And in cadence with their rebellion, they kick against the pricks of their own God-given (yet denied) conscience, which calls out its warning to them, that they have transgressed the order and law of God.

So darkened of spirit, many of God's children have unwittingly and stupidly changed "sides," and are now foolishly and blindly following the paths of the 'father of lies,' calling "Good" evil and evil "Good."  From the philosophical flatteries and sophistries of Hell, self-indulgence and irresponsibility have become normalized as enlightened means to be proclaimed as the "new salvation," even though they are drowning in their own toxic shame....

The damage of such personal spiritual treachery is becoming more and more evident as we watch our societies and cultures increasingly spin out of control.  Despite the efforts of the adversary to cover his tracks, evil is real, and it's becoming more easy to see its face in these latter days.  To be sure, the more we see clearly where Liberal Secularist direction surreptitiously comes from and where it means to take us, the more confidently convinced we may become of its roots

Page 6

Now before I become misunderstood, let me make it very clear that this doesn't mean that Liberals are evil, anymore than a spoiled child is from Hell.  But it does mean that both have been allowed to become ill-mannered, abusively insensitive to others, and selectively aware of what's really important.  Both have a chance to make repair and give up their childish and narcissistic ways.  But time is running out.  And no matter what level of ignorance we may entertain, we must all awaken to our spiritual responsibilities.

Now before I become misunderstood, let me make it very clear that this doesn't mean that Liberals are evil, anymore than a spoiled child is from Hell.  But it does mean that both have been allowed to become selfishly ill-mannered, abusively insensitive to others, and selectively aware of what's really important as they dismiss anything contrary to their adolescent compunctions.  Both have a chance to make repair and give up their narrow, childish, and narcissistic ways.  But time is running out.  And no matter what level of ignorance we may entertain, we must all awaken to our personal spiritual responsibilities.

We are all making choices here that have very real consequences.  As I said earlier, and has continually been amplified within my books, by embracing Goodness, the Universe has been so fashioned to gloriously finish the Father's Design by bringing about our perfection after the order of the Pattern of God, even the Seed of Goodness or that portion of the Spirit of Christ, even His Name, given by His Grace and Atonement to be within us.  These are the powers of Goodness made ready within us if we so choose.  When it becomes central to our lives, its God-enabled miraculous powers become unleashed, launching us into the remaking of our Image after the Order of His Will and Pleasure.

But if we refute this Goodness, parsing its legitimacy and ignoring its presence while deciding to abolish any affection that we may naturally have for it, then we set ourselves a different course than what the Heaven's have lovingly intended, and indeed, literally thwart the Father's Will.  By then, and by the proof of such actions, isn't it obvious as to whose side we end up on?

Indeed, continuing on from the quote given earlier from The Winds of Forgiveness, pgs 571-573, the choices before us are reiterated:

"...And so it will be that those of us who have sincerely and affectionately accepted His Light within us, and have learned to joyously allow its resonance to have full sway within our hearts and minds, will have come to bear the consequent and identifying Spiritual imprint of His Name and Seal within us—a Spiritual Emblem designating that our legitimate lineage is of Him, showing forth the fruit of His Seed and Atonement—and subsequently be welcomed into Heaven as beloved family members.

But for those of us who have chosen differently through sly equivocation, denial, and obduracy—who summarily rejected the healing transformations of His Light so freely offered us throughout this life, and willfully, if not pugnaciously, denigrated His Voice found resonating upon the Winds of our Soul—we will be looked upon as strangers who knew not the Master’s Voice, since we carry no evidence or proof that we have ever sought for Him, ever found Him, nor ever served nor joined with Him, having never allowed His Seed to have place and take root within us.

For how could His Seed have ever taken hold, increased, or enriched us when we have never known or obeyed His Voice, neither taken refuge in His Spirit or embraced the brooding ruminations of His Name and Spiritual impressions seriously within us, nor ever taken the time to affectionately listen to Him, to learn of Him, or even follow His Directions? How could we think that we would be acceptable to Him after we have proven that we were continually ashamed of the excellence of His Name, pridefully thinking His Means to be too lowly and beneath us and who held His Counsel in derision? How could we imagine that He would honor or even acknowledge us after we have willfully disallowed the children we used to be to breathe within us, even denied the very presence of the Spiritual Ark of God in which His Spirit was to reside—even the Wife of the Covenant of our Youth given to sojourn with us throughout our mortal life?

And then in the moment of this realization, to those of us who have deliberately frustrated and denied the place and work of the Seed-Pattern within us—who subsequently do not bear the fruition of His Pattern, Seal, and Hallmark—He will utter, “Though you should be joined to me, even in my very bosom, and keep not my commandments, I would cast you off and say unto you... I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” {2 Clement 2:15 (Apoc.; ibid. pg. 472; Matthew 7:23 (KJV)} These are sobering realities which cannot be rationally dismissed...."

Thus, the powers of God's Goodness----representatively instilled within us in the form of His Seed Pattern and Name----are activated when harnessed by our affections towards its goals and purposes, and act to fulfill the message and meaning of the Gospel of Christ----namely, to bring about our Eternal Life, and thus be as Happy and Joyful as God is.

Not only that, but because of the governing influences of Goodness within our hearts subsequently enlivened, these internally conscious Godly influences are the only means to assure that the temporal respect, regard, and adherence to our Constitution will be kept.  As we have been repeatedly reminded by the Founding Fathers themselves, the Constitution is only of value to a people who choose to be moral by a Judeo-Christian standard.  Take those standards away from our hearts and minds, and the Constitution has no power or influence over an immoral people.

And when the tenets of Goodness are denied or diminished in any way, all manner of destruction can then begin, thwarting the Will of God to the attempt of usurping His Throne.

Thus the continual study and teaching of Goodness is of central importance to our lives and security...., and should be central to every teaching of Christ and God the Father.  God help us if we fail to understand this.....
