The Demise of American Loyalties:

Even More On The Dumbing Of America!

~written from the common sense perspective of The Winds of the Soul~

by Dr. Gregory C.D. Young, Ph.D.(Oxon.)

to the book

Accordingly, it's now been suggested that we strongly answer Pepsi's cowardly lead by mirroring their contrived sensitivity "back at 'em".  So, in like mind, let's not embarrass them any further by sending any money that bears the name of "God" or any reference to the national motto "In God We Trust" emblazoned upon its surface.  I guess that means they won't be getting any more of my money.  Okay, I can do that!

I was recently informed by a reader that Pepsi, the American soft drink giant, has apparently decided to launch a new, "patriotic Pepsi Can" that features pictures of the Empire State Building and the Pledge of Allegiance on them.  Sounds great?  Well..., not exactly....  You see, the Pepsi PC pinheads along with theirs mindless marketing teams have decided to omit the words "Under God" in the Pledge, believing that the mere mention of "God" may prove offensive to some, even though the pledge's "One nation under God" was established by the U.S. Congress!

Can you believe this one?  Just another case of Political Correctness gone amuck!  And yet another gauche, inappropriately timed strategy that wishes to cash in on the nation's emotions tied to the 9-11 tragedy.

Accordingly, it's now been suggested by some that we strongly answer Pepsi's cowardly lead by mirroring their contrived sensitivity "back at 'em".  So, in like mind, let's not embarrass Pepsi any further by sending them any more money because it too bears the name of "God" in the form of the national motto "In God We Trust" emblazoned upon its surfaces.

I guess that means I won't be drinking Pepsi for a while.  But that's okay, I can do that!  If I want a Pepsi in the future, I'll throw them a Pesos instead, or better yet, I'll find something else to drink.  Excuse my sarcasm, but after all, we can be sensitive too....and apologize to Pepsi for not recognizing before this apparent affront to the freedoms of those PC individuals involved....

We have lost the understanding that our freedoms hinge directly to the moral understanding of us all.  We have forgotten what it means to be loyal to things of substance, to things that matter, like the moral persuasion of our nation.  More importantly, we have forgotten why things of substance like morality are to be valued and why our loyalties to these things should matter. Honestly, our understanding of these fundamentals should be as common as sliced cheese or the ubiquitous soft drink can.  But they're not....

I'm sure this asinine corporate marketing debacle will go down in the annals of stupidity.  We hope they get the message and find new places of employment for the few responsible if the can ever is released.  In the mean time, I sure hope Coca Cola has caught wind of this and capitalizes on it with an "Under God and Proud of it!" new Can of their own, but one instead that just features the azure blue skies and the wheat fields of America alone!  Parenthetically, we don't need financial landmarks on ubiquitous soft drink cans bringing undo attention to their marvelous structures, perhaps lending them as more desirable targets for future terrorist action as well.  But heck, we're only selling soft drinks, right?  Isn't this just another indication of greed myopically justifying itself in our America of today, wherein morality and humility, refinement and good taste, intelligence and reason no longer find themselves wanted at our dinner tables?

What has happened to our sense of basic intelligence has happened before in other cultures throughout history.

What we can't see, hear, taste, tactically feel, or smell somehow is always diminished in importance to us.  Accordingly, "morals" are often dismissed as intangibles that really have no affect on anything, remaining as cumbersome relics of yesteryear.  This attitude is as dangerous and wrong as those who think we can ignore the realities of nuclear physics and allow our children to play with irradiated materials in their sand boxes.  What we can't see does matter and will affect us!  In fact, the more intangible something appears to our eyes, it is often the more powerful in our lives---Love, forgiveness, faith, hope, and charity are just other cases in point.  Still, much of what we think we should believe in today is based solely on what we see and can observe, an arrogant and willful perspective that generally leads to a massive misunderstanding of how things really work.

As an atom is to a steel girder, so are our morals to the security of our nation.  When we pull "God" and His moral teachings out of our schools, businesses, and government, there is no longer foundation to do the right thing and our nation will not stand.  Those that argue otherwise appear to be intellectually insufficient or handicapped to be able to understand the cause and effect of such things.

It appears to me that many, including those of the Liberal persuasion and those that tout a liberal frame of reference, suggest that the substance of morality and the like, are simply Victorian indulgences that have become outdated and have no real use or function in our society.  They still haven't been able to connect the dots that such an "intangible" is far more important than they can possible imagine.  An atom is to a steel girder, as our morals are to the security of our nation.  When we pull "God" and His moral teachings out of our schools, businesses, and government, there is no longer foundation to do the right thing and our nation will not stand.  Those that argue otherwise appear to be intellectually insufficient or handicapped to be able to understand the cause and effect of such things.  They appear unwilling to note that moral lassitude yields a host of moral misdirection and destructive social consequences.

Perhaps they are more superstitious in their thoughts than they realize, believing that all our nation's good fortune has been wrought by magic, or by some other fantastic, unreasonable, and illogical leap of pseudo-political understanding.  Again, they don't see the "atom" so they don't believe in its existence or its possible place of central importance in the strength of the steel girder.  Similarly, they don't have any form of appreciation for the real mechanics of moral operation, and perhaps refuse to believe that one is even possible.  Like unruly children, they make up their own rules, disbelieving that such a foundation is worthy of consideration.  Even when faced with the nitty-gritty, the nuts and bolts, and the cause and effects of things they can't see, they refute the obvious and embrace the superstitious.

Today, some of our leaders "play" with the building blocks of morality as if they have no utility or purpose.  Their attempts to diminish their value in our society are evidenced by their continuing to make these thing into intellectual pariahs, wishing to defame the overall topic, defrauding the public of these realities.  They seem to carelessly toss away these things as a novice who unwittingly reassembles a car without the all the needed parts, and then is surprised when it won't start.

History records our Founding Fathers being most concerned that our U.S. Constitution was not an instrument that could govern an immoral people, and specifically relied upon the teachings of the Bible to continually offer the needed instruction.  They prophetically knew, that as soon as we would lose our allegiance to the God of this country and His Laws, so too would we begin to lose the basis of our very freedoms and prosperity.  They firmly believed that giving allegiance to the God of the Universe was the only way our country would remain whole.  Knowing that moral education is not automatic, they purposely included the Bible as a central text within all of our schools and universities.  To them, today's secularism, moral relativism, and politically correct society, was the worst case scenario of their intentions.

This hierarchical structure of moral understanding contained within the Bible is inarguably the fundamental basis of all Western Democratic and Republican Law and culture.  It is the reason our form of government has worked and all other liberal notions (Socialism, Communism, Fascism-Nazism) have failed.  Since this form has worked so much better than any other to date, I suggest that we don't fix what isn't broken, but realize that which is broken can be fixed by returning to the fundamentals that first allowed us this prosperity of freedoms.

I've always been amazed at the simplicity of the Ten Commandments.  Moreover, I've become increasingly respectful of the concise issues focused upon and priorities enlisted within the Commandments themselves, noting that the first five are wholly concerned with how we are to approach, honor, and be accountable to God, our creator, as well as our parents in this world, and that the other five focus upon how we are to specifically approach and relate to each other.  This hierarchical structure of moral understanding contained within the Bible is inarguably the fundamental basis of all Western Democratic and Republican Law and culture.  It is the reason our form of government has worked and all other atheist notions (Socialism, Communism, Fascism-Nazism) have failed.  Since this form has worked so much better than any other to date, I suggest that we don't fix what isn't broken, but realize that which is broken can be fixed by returning to the fundamentals that allowed us this prosperity of freedoms in the first place, namely the moral fiber inherent in sound Biblical teachings.

Quite interestingly, what many don't realize today, or perhaps still refuse to accept, is the fact that the massive failed atheist based governments of Nazi Germany, USSR, and Communist China of the past century took their direction from a surprising and strange source, namely the writings of Charles Darwin and his theories of evolution, which acted to further remove or displace altogether the God of the Universe from science and humanity.  Many Darwinian protagonists still don't realize that Darwin's failed theories helped give rise to some of the world's worst, most violent and aggressive governments known to us in recent history.  In truth and in fact, Darwin's theories have now been proven to be no better than a form of unhealthy propaganda which has been historically used to deceptively advance some of the most horrible atrocities known to man.  And this is not to any degree an overstatement or an exaggeration of the facts.

It's quite well known and accepted by notable historians and political analysts alike that the Darwinian notion of survival of the fittest, the "struggle" for life, and that the strongest survive and dominate, became the literal intellectual underpinnings of the deceptive materialistic philosophies and governments of Hitler (Fascism), Marx, Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin and Mao (all forms of Socialism and Communism), all of whose founders actually cited and gave credit to the writings of Darwin and his "natural history" for the intellectual pretence, justification, and basis for their form of despotic rule.  Surprised?  Read on....

Page 4

In truth and in fact, Darwin's theories have been proven to be no better than a form of unhealthy propaganda which has been historically used to deceptively advance some of the worst atrocities known to man.  And this is not to any degree an overstatement or an exaggeration of the facts.  What many Darwinian protagonists don't realize is that, quite interestingly, Darwin's theories helped give rise to some of the world's worst, most violent and aggressive governments known to us in recent history.

Trotsky said, "Darwin's discovery is the highest triumph of the dialectic in the whole field of organic matter."   Hitler, too, inspired by Darwin's notions of the struggle for survival and the principle that victory went to the fittest race, was a firm believer and preacher of evolution, clearly setting forth a number of Darwinian evolutionary based ideas.  For instance, in the 1933 Nuremberg Nazi Party Rally he publically proclaimed that "a higher race subjects to itself a lower race... a right which we see in nature and which can be regarded as the sole conceivable right."  As recorded in his book Mein Kampf (My Struggle), he stated that "History would culminate in a new millennial empire of unparalleled splendor, based on a new racial hierarchy ordained by nature herself."   He particularly found merit in the Darwinian ideas that emphasized the struggle for the survival of the fittest and the extermination of the weak to produce a better society.  Again, please note the translated title of Hitler's book...."My Struggle."

Historians also note that Stalin was religious in his youth, but became an atheist largely because of Darwin's writings.  Marx used Darwin's ideas as the natural historical proof for his ideas of Communism, and Plekhanov, who is generally regarded as the founder of Russian Communism saw "Marxism as Darwinism in its application to social science."  Mao himself even stated that "Chinese socialism is founded upon Darwin and the theory of evolution."

All of these governments held the motto "life is a struggle" to be the ultimate existential truth, becoming the fundamental basis for most of the violence and war in our last century, and which, by the way, imposed a clear racially repugnant view of (in Darwin's own words) "favored races" upon the social sciences of the times.  Using Darwinian Evolution as their historical and biological precedent, each government sought to reduce man to an animal whose existence is coincidental and with no responsibility to any being, while demolishing the moral pillars of love, mercy, self-sacrifice, modesty, honesty, and justice.

That's quite a list of infamous notables that have ascribed to the theories of evolution, literally justifying their heinous actions on Darwin's idea's of the survival of the fittest.  Even though we obviously cannot possibly attribute the basis of these wicked men's psychosis to Darwin, it is quite amazing that no other work appears to be so similarly influential in their respective lives and the common directions they took.

Interestingly, these facts have yet had any significant impact on the Liberals and others who prattle that there is another "missing link" to be found, yet another way to govern without God, and yet another reason why we should forestall putting God at the head of our nation again. They urge us to have faith in their failed thinking, giving them just another chance to formulate a more perfect lie for us to believe in while despising and ridiculing our faith in God.  Despite this obvious failure of Darwin's social theories and in spite of the fact that its applications to the social sciences and politics have proven to be horrific failures, remnants of Darwin's theories of evolution still haunt our nations political and educational systems.

That's quite a list of infamous notables that have ascribed to the theories of evolution, literally justifying their heinous actions on Darwin's idea's of the survival of the fittest.  Even though we obviously cannot possibly ascribe the basis of these wicked men's psychosis to Darwin alone, it is quite amazing that no other work appears to be so similarly influential in their respective lives and the common directions they took.

Indeed, even though Darwin's Theory of gradual evolution has been proven and conceded wrong by Science itself back in the 1980's (as has been amply reported in the major journals and news media such as Nature, Science, Newsweek, Time, etc), his theories still persist in our schools and universities as the major explanation of how life originated and came to be.  Darwinian proponents in our educational system still insist that their magic and superstition is more scientific, twisting their arguments into unbelievable scenarios based on erroneous and illogical foundations.  It seems that they will do anything to dissuade a God-centered understanding from taking hold on our youth.

Indeed, even though scientific findings increasingly demonstrate the reality of a Creation "period," and that we know that the first single cell forms of life on this planet had previously seeded within their DNA all the necessary instructions (body morphologies, structural biochemistries, neurologies, etc) from which higher forms of life were to literally "unfold" almost like a flower grows (i.e. nothing evolved), they still will not concede.  Even though such hard evidence must presuppose the possibility of an intelligent design, they look for other interpretations.

Even though the physical record of the material universe and the fossil record itself is now known to mirror the events portrayed in the six days of creation in Genesis (and within the same relative time frames according to Einstein's equations, i.e. 6 days = approx. 15.75 billion years in real space-time), they look askance at the data, and call anyone who doesn't agree with them "stupid."  Even though we now know scientifically that these complexities could not have simply evolved as the liberal evolutionists would have us believe, now understanding that it is mathematically impossible (there being neither enough time or space within the known universe to have have randomly evolved and come up with even the simplest protein structures), they still insist that their whimsies of evolution or any other "non-God-non-created-centered-explanation" of life are correct!  (For a more detailed analysis on this, please see Chapter 10 in the Winds of the Soul.)

It seems that in both the natural and social sciences, Darwin has been proven resoundingly wrong, indicating again that perhaps our Founding Fathers were right....  So, I wonder if our Liberal based school curriculums are giving Darwin the dubious intellectual credit, or at least footnoting it, for apparently supplying the amoral intellectual and fictitious scientific basis for the annihilation of hundreds of millions of people off the face of the planet while they continue to support the basis of his "biology" as well?  Isn't it odd that Darwin's real and apparent claims to infamy are not talked about while his erroneous theory of biological evolution lives on?

I sarcastically wonder, too, if our liberally minded school boards, teacher's unions, and the like, should not also be directed to include all of Darwin's views about evolution and the human races (or at least be aware of them), including those that gave justification to the idea that Darwin believed that the fight for survival also applied to the people of the world, wherein the "favored races" (favored races were white Europeans according to Darwin) would eventually become victorious in the "struggle."  Perhaps if our Liberal friends on the left were to understand these alarming and repugnant racist views of Darwin clearly documented in his own hand (The Descent of Man, 1874, p. 178), they would reconsider the fallacious scientific basis of his other claims and find these, too, without merit....

If you think about it, all those that have continually supported such faulty thinking are of the same family of fools who derided Copernicus, Galileo and Columbus, who rathered the status quo of their dark day and a flat earth than the light of tomorrow.  I believe they are of the same "family" or type of men (yet they are of all races, creeds, and persuasions) because they all hold to one thing most common, namely they have proven consistently disloyal to the truth at hand and those things which emanate from her womb.

To be most blunt, if Darwin's views of human races and evolution are clearly racist, prejudiced, and wrong to any one with half a brain, should we not now be even more jubilant since the entire basis of his theories have been thoroughly and scientifically refuted, demonstrating that Darwinian Evolution is simply wrong on all accounts, not being supported by any of the scientific facts from any reputable scientific discipline?

If you think about it, all those that have continually supported such faulty thinking are of the same family of stubborn fools who derided Copernicus, Galileo and Columbus, who rathered the status quo of their dark day and a flat earth than the light of tomorrow.  I believe they are of the same "family" or type of men (yet they are of all races, creeds, and persuasions) because they all hold to one thing most common, namely they have proven consistently disloyal to the "truth" at hand and those things which emanate from its auspices.  In particular, they abandoned reason when reason no longer suits their self-serving need set. They seem to pick and choose as to what needs logic and what doesn't, applying their own arbitrary set of rules when necessary, only narrowly investigating the world around them, being afraid of all the facts that are really there.  They just don't seem to get it!  In reality, perhaps they're the "stupid ones"....

Again, it's as if they are missing something fundamental, missing something intellectually----they just can't seem to connect the dots that are clearly evident.  Then again, perhaps they really don't want to, but only feign a compliance to truth when under public scrutiny.  In fact, observation suggests that they are obsessed with proving themselves "right" at the expense of everything and everyone else.  "Off with their heads!" said the Queen of Hearts in Alice's Wonderland, and remember, everyone obeyed, shrinking in fear.  And that perhaps is their fatal and telltale characteristic that lumps them together so neatly.  Like the Queen of Hearts, these are primarily very self-absorbed people, wherein their first admonishment would be to approve of themselves at all costs, to pander to their self-indulgence and narcissism, and justify and ensure that nothing would ever get in their way of control.  But unlike those in Wonderland, we should not obey their wishes.

I recall Winston Churchill admitting that as a youth he was very Liberal in his politics and thinking, being willfully narrow in his perspective, but that he soon outgrew such extravagance of stupidity, becoming more conservative and wise as he became older when dealing with the whole picture of things instead of just a few self-serving variables.  He, of course, became one of the greatest (conservative) minds of the last century, and became a man who really did see the "Big Picture," understanding, weighting, and executing the morality of a nation.

I can't help but think, that given a Liberal persuasive direction and authority at the time of the writing of the Ten Commandments, these would have been rewritten in a narrow, Politically Correct frame of reference obscuring any reference to moral right.  In fact, they probably wouldn't have been written at all because the whole process would have become bogged down "in committee" for centuries having to be rewritten for each special interest group and subsequently become so bland and undefined in the end that they would have turned out to be as long and as unfathomable as the IRS Tax Codes.

We are the freest and most prosperous nation in the world, yet our freedoms are made possible not by law, but by the moral hearts that craft them and the conscience of good men who think about them and remain loyal to the tenets of the Bible....  I make no apologies for making such a statement.  The teachings of the Bible have been historically tied to this nation from its inception.  No other instrument can claim such persuasive authority of direction in this country than the moral teachings found within this Holy Book.

The moral underpinnings of America are slipping, becoming eroded by liberal self-indulgent folks who seem as blind today as those taken in by the rhetoric of the despots of the last century who gloried in unaccountability and racist control.  I'm troubled that we are no longer appreciative of the weight and power of "the unseen" moral fiber of our national roots.  I'm concerned that we can't readily see how they've been the foundation of all our prosperity, and enabled the protection of God over this country.  I'm saddened that we no longer prize a loyalty to such things or publically celebrate their realities.

Yet, we are now at a time when anything to do with the Book itself is being decried.

How can we as a people wish to disassociate ourselves from the very means that has kept us free, provided our constitution, and governed us so well and so fairly (except for the mistakes of men) all these years..., especially in light of all those other nations who have not been "One Nation Under God" and have subsequently been so devastated by social, civil, and economic strife?  You would think that we would all get a clue!

I would argue that the correlation of our national success and our believe in God Almighty is overwhelmingly positive and high.  When we are loyal to what has made America great, and specifically with the morality and tenets taught to us by the Ten Commandments and the rest of the Bible, we are blessed.  When we begin to throw God out of our classrooms, places of business and finance, and the courts and our government as well, we fall back to becoming like all the other nations of the world.  And as we so descend the ladder of civilization, becoming disloyal to the strengths and direction of morality, so will our social and civil problems increase, our securities become undermined, our economies weakened, and our leaders more foolish and conflicted as they become involved in the Darwinian tormented "struggle for life."

I believe that loyalty to the moral and truthful things "unseen" are just that important.  Let's not be dissuaded otherwise.  Attempting to continue a government and direct a culture without the moral tenets of the Bible lead to disastrous infractions against all human rights, as we are now witnessing more saliently in the Middle East and the terrors of militant Islam.  Interestingly enough, militant Islam embraces many of the same philosophical faults of Darwinism (racism, the pure surviving race/people of Muslims, subordination of females, etc.) but have twistingly inculcated a "racist god" into their equation.  This should be a lesson for us all to stand firm in "holy places."  We should not be afraid to speak about that which has given us the intellectual basis of the most formidable system of government the recent world has ever seen.  We should not think ourselves "stupid," or passé or embarrassed for having a sound belief in God Almighty and the moral sense he has inscribed within our hearts and written so plainly for all to see within the Holy Scriptures.  We should be proud and thankful....

In fact, most of the more notable scientists in the history of the world have had a passionate understanding of the God of the Universe (including Newton, Einstein, and Plank), and thought those that did not were simply "unenlightened."  So, I think we're in good company and should not be shy in that which makes us strong.  Clearly the "unseen" power of morality, and the truth of its powers, is more ubiquitous than most consider, more causative than many wish to acknowledge, more real than much of what we are capable of perceiving.  It is to our moral roots that we should give loyalty and allegiance, and to the God that wisely placed them there....  I hope Pepsi gets the message.
